AI is likely the one thing in my lifetime that will have the biggest impact.
With the scaling laws holding steady, AGI — in whatever form — will happen in my lifetime (1990–2060ish). If I understand how to navigate that technology, I can make money with it.
Simplicity beats complexity.
Product, engineering, sales, contracts — whenever something is complex, it usually makes it worse.
Execution trumps discussion.
It is usually faster to test and execute something than to talk, plan or think about it. In business, at least.
First principle thinking solves 99% of all problems.
Everything is built on basic principles that can be understood.
Small teams outperform large teams in most cases.
Small teams run at higher speed, especially in times of AI. I do not believe in companies larger than 100 people any more, unless they build physical things.
Money is the biggest incentive in the world.
Most people are incentivised by money. Purpose, self-fulfilment and the rest are, in my opinion, usually underlying incentives behind it.
Crypto was and is a giant Ponzi scheme.
Anybody who says anything positive about cryptocurrency only does so because they have a vested interest.
Real insights do not happen in the open, but in the closed.
In trading, in business, in tech — once things are public, it is mostly too late to profit from them. You need the grey, closed insights that give you an edge.
